Purpose:
The Sales Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the sales team by analyzing data, generating insights, and ensuring accurate reporting to drive informed business decisions. This position focuses on data integrity, sales performance analysis, inventory trends, and competitive intelligence. The analyst will collaborate with Sales, Inventory, and Marketing teams to optimize processes, improve forecasting, and identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Associate degree in Business, Data Analytics, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research, analyze, and summarize market and competitive information.
- Experience with CRM systems and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Maintain and update CRM data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports for management.
- Support forecasting and territory planning through data-driven insights.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in aligning sales strategies with product availability.
- Research and analyze competitive pricing, specifications, and market positioning.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to provide data for campaigns and promotions.
- Assist in preparing presentations, dashboards, and reports for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all reporting activities.
Work Setting & Conditions:
- Location: Office-based in Byron Center, MI.
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional overtime during peak periods).
- Environment: Collaborative office setting with standard equipment and software tools.
