Description:
Delawie, a Leo A. Daly Studio, is seeking an experienced and talented Technical Designer II Architecture Position to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the development of design solutions and preparation of construction documents in collaboration with the project team. The successful candidate filling this position will:
- Have an engaging, client-centric approach to project delivery.
- Demonstrate a dedicated spirit towards client satisfaction through design excellence.
- Work under the direction of a Project Manager/Architect and Vice-presidents/Director(s) and perform at a high level with limited oversight.
- Ideal candidates must be a team player who is well organized, detail oriented, focused, design driven, accurate and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, documenting, and coordinating projects, from conceptualization through development and execution in the field.
- Follow projects from inception through construction to maintain design quality and intent.
- Participate in design presentations. Tasks may include 3D modeling, Revit drawings, etc.
- Support and assist other architectural technical staff.
- Supports the Construction Administration phase assisting the Project manager by responding to RFI’s, reviewing submittals, etc.
- University Degree - Bachelor/Masters of Architecture, and with 3 to 5 years experience post-education in an architectural design firm, or equivalent
- Proficiency in the technical skills of architectural design including the following computer skills:
- MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, or similar 3-D graphic software.
- Strong technical competency in Revit
- Demonstrated knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration and code requirements
- Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills
- Willingness to work within a team.
- Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
- Accreditation/Registration/Licensure or Pursuing
- Accreditation/Registration/Licensure preferred.
- Ability to support multiple projects.
Salary range for this position varies between $69,200-103,700, depending upon applicable experience.
