Position Summary:
As a DSP, you will support individuals with daily living, personal care, health tasks, and community activities. You will help clients achieve their Individual Instruction and Support Plan (IISP) and Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP) goals while fostering respectful, trusting relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities
- Support meal planning, preparation, and nutrition needs
- Assist with medication management and accompany individuals to medical appointments
- Promote community integration, life enrichment, and meaningful engagement
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations
- Attend required trainings and maintain certifications
Qualifications:
- 18+ years old, High School Diploma or GED
- Prior industry experience preferred
- Required: 9-Hour Nurse Delegation Core Training Certification, In-Person CPR/First Aid, NAR with 75-hour Core Basic Training, HCA or CNA certifications
- Preferred: Nurse Delegation Special Focus on Diabetes Certification, Right Response
Ability to pass Washington State background check and fingerprinting
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Schedule & Benefits:
- Flexible shifts: 6–12 hours, day, swing, and overnight
- Holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts may be required
