About This Position
We are hiring a full-time Water Safety Account Manager to support our growing Water Safety program and client base. This position is remote and based in the Midwest, with 25–50% travel to client sites.
In this role, you will work closely with healthcare, commercial, and institutional facilities to ensure water safety compliance, program implementation, and long-term account success.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them implement and maintain Water Management Programs (WMPs), coordinate Legionella testing, and ensure alignment with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 188. This role blends account management, technical coordination, and compliance oversight to help clients maintain safe and effective water systems.
Client Support:
As part of the Technical Services Team, you will support organizations implementing Water Management Programs designed to reduce waterborne pathogen risks, including Legionaire's Disease. Your work will involve collaborating with facility teams, infection prevention specialists, engineers, and administrators to ensure their programs remain effective and compliant.

- Maintain a portfolio of water safety accounts through exceptional service and proactive client engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers across client organizations.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts including:
- Water Management Programs (WMPs)
- Legionella testing
- Filters
- Supplemental disinfection
- Remediation services
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients in alignment with service guidelines.
- Support contract renewals and maintain long-term client partnerships.
- Facilitate Water Safety Committee meetings according to client service agreements.
- Maintain documentation including service reports, lab reports, Legionella test reports, and disinfection reports.
- Coordinate Legionella sampling activities and collect water samples when necessary.
- Maintain compliance logs and communicate non-compliance issues with clients.
- Guide clients through corrective actions and compliance improvement plans.
- Implement new Water Management Programs with the Water Safety Product Manager.
- Support ongoing program implementation through verification and validation steps defined by ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 188.
- Act as a technical resource for clients with active Water Management Plans.
- Assist with facility and environmental risk assessments when needed.
- Experience in water safety, water treatment, environmental health, engineering, microbiology, or related technical fields.
- ASSE 12080 Legionella Water Safety and Management Certification is strongly preferred and required within 1 year of hire.
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Must reside in the Midwest region.
- Ability and willingness to travel 25–50% to customer sites across the Midwest.
- Successful completion of a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and Drug Screening.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and proficient in English.
Physical Requirements:
- This role requires the ability to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) while conducting facility inspections, collecting water samples, and supporting water management program implementation.
- Ability to navigate industrial and healthcare facilities, including climbing stairs or ladders when necessary.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, chemicals, and noise levels while wearing appropriate PPE.
