Qualifications:

  • Two years of field engineering experience in the commercial construction industry.

Assistant Project Manager Job Description
An Assistant Project Manager works alongside the Project Manager to plan and execute projects for the company. Their duties include identifying clients’ or stakeholders’ project needs and goals, creating a detailed plan to complete a project, and organizing and storing project reports and documents.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
The Assistant Project Manager may work alone or with a team and will undertake the following duties and more as instructed by the Project Manager:
  • Complete tasks the Project Manager assigns efficiently and timely to implement and achieve project goals.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Under Project Manager supervision, understand the scope of work and develop, log, schedule, review, and track/distribute all project documents/submittals.
  • Knowledge of project management software (PROCORE) and related software: Timberline, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Keep PROCORE updated and distribute updated drawings, sketches, ASIs, and RFIs to all relevant personnel.
  • Set up and track project documents, including RFIs, ASIs, Change Events Log, CCDs, PMs, FDs, photos, project drawings, specifications, and permits.
  • Generate and distribute preconstruction and progress meeting minutes.
  • Liaise with project lead and other project managers to maintain project schedule and efficacy.
  • Develop, track, and monitor the Project Material Tracking log. Verify material delivery with the Superintendent/Project Manager.
  • Coordination tasks include BIM coordination and updates, as well as field coordination to address RFIs.
  • Work with the architect/owner/subcontractors/Henley team to develop and manage punch list items, documenting them for accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate closeout binders and document procurement, tracking, and verification for submission to the owner.
Other duties as assigned to support the strategic priorities of Henley Construction.
