Car Wash Maintenance Technician at Wash and Roll – Johnson City, Tennessee

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support multiple car wash locations in East Tennessee. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining car wash equipment to ensure safe and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on tunnel and support equipment

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues

• Repair pumps, motors, blowers, conveyors, and chemical delivery systems

• Maintain and service air compressors and water reclaim systems

• Respond to emergency service calls when equipment is down

• Document repairs and maintenance performed

• Work closely with site managers to minimize downtime

• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times

Qualifications:

• 2+ years mechanical or maintenance experience

• Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge (120V/240V/480V)

• Experience with pumps, motors, and conveyors

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in wet environments

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Experience:

• Car wash equipment (Sonny’s, MacNeil, PECO, etc.)

• VFD troubleshooting

• PLC basics

• Plumbing and air systems

• Preventative maintenance programs
