Project Manager at Gordon Electric Supply Inc – Mokena, Illinois

The Project Manager provides value to our customers by planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets all while ensuring projects are completed on time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage project development from conception to completion.
2. Understand all projects in-depth, enabling yourself to order materials/equipment, develop billings, complete, and manage RFIs and change orders, as well as prepare/review submittals and closeout documents.
3. Maintain a working knowledge of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts.
4. Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues before they become problems.
5. Create a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
6. Ensure deadlines are met and work is accurate.
7. Act as a liaison between customers and the appropriate internal customers to keep the process moving forward.
8. Provide status reports to the Sales Manager.
9. Lead and motivate the Project Management Assistant throughout each project.

Education, Experience, Credentials
•Bachelor’s degree in project management, business management, or a related field preferred.
•1+ years of project management experience.
•Experience with project management software tools.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
•A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
