Key Responsibilities:

• Support logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements that enhance delivery speed and reduce costs.
• Recruit, train, and manage logistics staff to maintain a skilled, high-performing team.
• Ensure compliance with all logistics regulations, including federal, state, international, safety, and environmental standards.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics partners.
• Assist in developing and managing logistics budgets while tracking expenses and reporting key financial performance metrics.
• Oversee logistics systems (WMS, TMS) to improve tracking and streamline operations.
• Prepare and deliver reports on logistics KPIs, including delivery accuracy, transportation costs, and inventory levels.
• Create and maintain contingency plans to address operational disruptions or supply chain emergencies.
• Support long-term logistics strategies that align with company objectives and evolving market demands.

Hours of Work:

• Standard 45-hour work week
• May require overtime

• Reports to VP of Manufacturing
• Work alongside warehouse personnel, loading personnel and logistics manage

Experience, Education, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Five or more years in logistics or supply chain roles, including two in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on improving supply chain speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability across logistics operations.
• Proficient in logistics and enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, WMS, and TMS platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including DOT, OSHA, and applicable environmental standards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and sustain vendor and partner relationships.
• Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP or CLTD are strongly preferred.
• Ability to visit warehouses or distribution centers and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
