C.N.A. Instructor at ALLIANCE WITH CLIENTS CORPORATION – Salisbury, Maryland

Under the direct supervision of the Administrator, the C.N.A. Instructor will provide instruction for Nursing Assistant courses and maintains course documentation and related Nursing Assistant Program communication. The C.N.A. Instructor will directly supervise the overall operations of the Certified Nursing Assistant program. Responsibilities include participating in the development & evaluation of the training program, implementing the approved training program, supervising classroom laboratory experiences, evaluating student performance in the classroom, and providing supervision and clinical evaluation of each trainee at the clinical training site.

1. Conduct participant’s initial assessment and identify variables that may affect client’s behavior.
2. Provide training to the students according to the client’s needs.
3. Delegate and monitor student’s tasks.
4. Provide supervision with caregivers present during clinical hours.
5. Perform performance evaluation on all students at the end of the C.N.A. program.
6. Ensure that services needed to facilitate care of the client are being utilized.
7. Assess nursing/ client interaction and/or client/ family interaction.
8. Assess the environment for safety and cleanliness and make recommendations.
9. Assess infection control practices including proper hand washing.
10. Ensure that the equipment is being maintained properly.
11. Ensure that necessary supplies are available.
12. Make sure that emergency protocol is in place.
13. Participate in quality assurance activities.
14. Evaluate staff performance and update skill validation competency as required by the agency.
15. Be available to the staff for private consultation requiring good nursing judgement.
16. Assist the Human Resource Specialist in maintaining all clinical files on all clients.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state of MD.
• Minimum of two years’ experience, at least one (1) year of which was in caring for the elderly or chronically ill in the past 5 years
• Minimum of two years’ experience in home health management
• Complete a course with a minimum of 16 hours of instruction in the principles of adult education, or have a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills include the ability to market and relate tactfully with customers and other members of the community.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.
• Criminal Background check
• Current CPR & First Aide Certification

• Master’s degree in nursing
• Five years’ management experience in the healthcare field.
• Five years of teaching experience preferably in certification administration
