About This Position

Position: Sales (Systems) Engineer - Enterprise Mobility & Industrial Print Solutions
Location: Brighton, Michigan / Hybrid
Position Overview:

The Sales (Systems) Engineer (EMS & IPS) shares our passion for helping our clients focus on increasing efficiency and streamlining their operations. The ideal candidate will have pre- and post-sales systems engineering experience and have demonstrated the ability to execute and deliver Mobile and Print solutions and features into the market.

This individual will combine customer demands, technical experience, market and competitive insights with a focus on educating clients on Enterprise Mobility Services and Solutions, Mobile Device Management, and Industrial Print Services and Solutions to build a high level of engagement and adoption. This position requires technical leadership through collaboration with Professional Services, Sales, Software Development, Government, and key Vendors & Partners.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Enterprise Mobility and Industrial Print Solutions
  • Be an expert in the domain, the market, the trends. Evangelize the vision so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand the product roadmaps of the solutions we sell
  • Initiate high-level, technical relationships with Fortune 100, 500 and 1,000 companies
  • Work closely with the Account Management team in a pre- and post-sales manner to expand existing customer relationships and well as help to add new accounts to the Lowry portfolio
  • Be the Mobility and Print technical lead on the Solution Services and Government teams to help solve customer needs
  • Recommend / Architect mobility solutions (including the device configuration) and develop necessary technical documentation for the staging team to perform their services
  • Create hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs) for sales to quote
  • Device Image creation (using tools such as: Android Enterprise, MDM Enrollment, StageNow, etc.)
  • Facilitate technology meetings with customers and internal staff
  • Develop and document Enterprise Mobility requirements discovery, device onboarding, device refreshes, and OS migration processes
  • Provide feedback to other departments regarding product requirements and enhancements
  • Provide technical guidance and training to Lowry sales and technical staff around Enterprise Mobility and Industrial Print
  • Work closely with Marketing and other Lowry resources to message our value-add Managed Mobile Services (MMS)
  • Represent the company at conferences and trade shows
  • Prepare and deliver sales materials and customer presentations, training, and collateral
  • Drive for the best user experience - own technical requirements, specifications, and release plans
  • Work with clients and Lowry team members to define products, product requirements, features, functions, and timing to capture increase market share and revenue
Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Comprehensive experience with Android and Android Enterprise Mobile OS
  • Expertise with Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM/EMM)
  • Experience in selling, implementing, configuring, and administering MDM / EMM solutions and mobile computing technology
  • Understanding and assisting with Commercial and Government RFPs (Request for Proposal)
  • Proven ability to listen, learn, and iterate quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, must be process and detail oriented, ability to troubleshoot various types of technology
  • Comprehensive knowledge in connecting mobile devices to networks and installing software using automated methods as well as troubleshooting issues with the same
  • Technical competency of mobile and desktop operating systems including: Android, Windows Mobile and CE, Apple iOS, and Windows 7 / 10
  • Ability to walk customers through step-by-step instructions (as needed)
  • Outstanding customer service, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be extremely organized and have excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional teams such as Sales, Professional Services, Software Development, Government, Marketing, Service / Support, and other key stakeholders
  • Experience selling Lifecycle Management (LCM) & Depot Repair managed services is a plus
  • SOTI MobiControl, Workspace One (AirWatch), Microsoft Intune, and Ivanti Avalanche certified is a plus
  • Knowledge of Zebra and Honeywell Mobile Computers, Industrial Printers, and supporting tools (StageNow, DataWedge, Enterprise Browser, Enterprise Home Screen, Zero Touch, Smart TE) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Ivanti (Wavelink) Velocity Terminal Emulation and Industrial Browser is a plus
Education and / or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or technical trade/vocational education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience (3-5 years) in a mobile technology role
  • Experience in troubleshooting problems and handling critical issues
  • Experience in creating and managing knowledge base and technical documentation for known problems, workarounds, and resolutions
  • Android, Android Enterprise, Zebra, Honeywell, and/or SOTI / VMWare MDM certification(s) is a plus
  • Enterprise Label Design Software (i.e. Bartender, Loftware, Teklynx, ZebraDesigner) experience is a plus
Will be required to travel out of town an estimated 15-30% by land and/or air. This is an estimate and actual travel could be above or below this amount as the position requires. Position requires the proof of unrestricted, valid drivers' license and unexpired automobile insurance as well as the ability to maintain/obtain a personal credit card for business expenses. Passport may also be required. The Primary work location will be offices in Brighton, Michigan as well as a home office (remote). This position does require proof of COVID vaccination or valid exemption.
