Hiring Range: $350,000 - $470,000

Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

The Heart and Vascular Center of Excellence at UMass Memorial and UMass Medical School are seeking a board certified or board eligible Cardiologist in Heart Failure to help grow our team. Successful candidates will be characterized by outstanding clinical skills, experience in engaging in a community referral base, and establishing an academic reputation.

Position Details:
  • Inpatient service as part of the Advanced HF team and consults
  • Outpatient clinic responsibilities including outreach
  • Interests in subspeciality (ex. Pulmonary Hypertension)
  • Formal and informal teaching responsibilities for medical students, medicine residents and cardiology fellows as well as attending, facilitating, and presenting cardiology conferences
  • Able to manage patients requiring and on mechanical circulatory support


About Heart Failure at UMass:
  • Robust inpatient and outpatient service located at the main campus, our team of 3 HF physicians and 4 HF APPs follow 3900 patients
  • As the only VAD program in Central Massachusetts, we have grown exponentially since being founded in 2018 and boast outstanding outcomes with 2 dedicated VAD coordinators
  • Our state-of-the-art step down unit is capable of supporting Swan-Ganz catheters and patients on BiPAP, and our closed CCU can support VV- and VA-ECMO and the full array of Impella devices


UMass Memorial Medical Center is a tertiary care teaching hospital with active programs in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine, cardiac surgery, and structural heart disease.
