Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Harness Assembler, for our Troy, MI facility, who will meet/exceed customer expectations & achieve strategic and production plans while following our values & guiding principles.
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Harness Assembler, will be responsible for creating wire harnesses and creating wire bundles. This consists of cutting, stripping, and crimping wires. The Harness Assembler is also responsible for connecting and labeling the wire bundles on template boards per design specifications.

In this role you will get to:
- Read and comprehend work orders, cut sheets, and templates to assemble wire harnesses and bundles.
- Prepare the harnesses and bundles by cutting, stripping, and crimping wires. Connect and label wires on templates.
- Must understand, complete, and maintain all required paperwork necessary in the operation.
- Maintain and operate lugging machines and wire stripping machines.
- Occasional operation of handheld tools such as tape measure, wire cutter, wire stripper, lug crimper, and molex crimper.
- Use computer to create job labels and log Epicor transactions.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect parts produced
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of metal materials, and safely utilize mechanical lifts.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in wiring preferred.
- Previous experience with cable preferred.
- Basic understanding of work orders, cut sheets, and templates.
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required.
- Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection.
