This senior technology leadership role sits at the intersection of engineering execution, platform architecture, and AI-driven transformation. The position is responsible for shaping and scaling a high-performance engineering organization capable of delivering complex, enterprise-grade and government-focused solutions. It combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership across delivery, DevOps, architecture, and AI operationalization. The role plays a critical part in embedding AI across internal workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and speed of execution. It also drives the development of AI-enabled capabilities that can be translated into market-ready offerings. Operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, the VP will ensure engineering discipline, scalable systems, and predictable delivery across multiple programs. This is a highly influential role partnering closely with executive leadership, product, and client-facing teams.

Accountabilities:

The VP, Technology & AI Strategy is responsible for leading end-to-end engineering execution, platform evolution, and enterprise architecture while ensuring disciplined delivery across multiple programs. This includes overseeing SDLC governance, release management, DevOps practices, and operational readiness to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.

  • Lead engineering execution from solution design through deployment, ensuring consistency, quality, and delivery discipline
  • Define and evolve scalable platform architecture, promoting reuse, configurability, and enterprise-grade performance
  • Establish technical standards across integrations, security, data flows, and deployment models
  • Drive AI operationalization across engineering, QA, documentation, support, and delivery workflows
  • Build governance frameworks for responsible AI usage, including validation, auditability, and human-in-the-loop controls
  • Partner with product and commercial teams to identify and develop AI-enabled, market-ready capabilities
  • Oversee DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation across distributed teams
  • Serve as a technical leader in client engagements, RFPs, and solution design for government and enterprise stakeholders
  • Build and mentor a high-performing engineering leadership team and scalable organizational structure
Requirements:

This role requires extensive experience in software engineering leadership, platform delivery, and enterprise architecture, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies and AI-enabled transformation. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives in complex, high-accountability environments.

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, platform delivery, or technology leadership roles
  • 5+ years in senior leadership (Director, VP, or Principal Architect level)
  • Proven experience building and scaling enterprise or SaaS platforms
  • Strong cloud architecture expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Demonstrated success implementing automation, AI, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience in government or regulated environments is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and secure deployment models
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive and client-facing interaction
  • Ability to operate across strategy, architecture, and hands-on technical execution
  • Proven leadership in building and mentoring distributed engineering teams
