About This Position
About the Role:
As a Prep Cook at Concordia Senior Living, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that cater to their dietary needs. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the head chef in preparing ingredients, cooking, and presenting meals in a timely manner. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance the dining experience for our residents, promoting their overall well-being and satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special meal preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as directed by the head chef.
- Assist in cooking and assembling meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Monitor food storage and inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly labeled.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely meal service.
