This role is responsible for shaping and amplifying a high-impact brand voice across digital channels within a fast-moving, technical industry. You will lead social media strategy and execution, turning complex topics around software, security, and open source into clear, engaging, and highly shareable content. The position blends strategic thinking with hands-on content creation, including video, written storytelling, and community engagement. You will play a key role in building authentic connections with engineers, security professionals, and enterprise audiences. - Own and evolve the social media strategy across key platforms such as LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, and emerging channels to grow brand visibility and engagement.
- Create, edit, and publish high-impact content including videos, posts, and creative campaigns that simplify complex technical and industry topics.
- Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with product launches, campaigns, partnerships, and industry events.
- Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimize content strategy using data insights and audience behavior analysis.
- Support executives and subject matter experts in building their personal social presence and thought leadership.
- Lead community engagement efforts across platforms such as Slack and Reddit, fostering authentic discussions and trust.
- Translate community insights into actionable feedback for Product, Marketing, and Developer Relations teams.
- Drive employee advocacy initiatives to expand organic reach and brand influence.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in social media, content marketing, or brand marketing roles, ideally within B2B, technical, or security-focused environments.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible storytelling.
- Deep understanding of social media platform dynamics, especially LinkedIn and Reddit.
- Proven data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to guide content and strategy decisions.
- Hands-on experience with content creation and editing tools such as Canva, Descript, Sprout Social, or Goldcast.
- Strong writing and communication skills with a creative, audience-first mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly technical, and collaborative environment.
- Experience building or engaging with developer or technical communities is highly valued.
