Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Type: Full-time
Shift Schedule: M-Th 5am-3pm, with OT and schedule subject to change depending on demand
Salary: $18-$20

Heavy Equipment Operator – Job Duties
- Manage raw material intake and mixing processes to meet production specifications, ensuring proper blend and moisture content for upcoming production needs
- Receive and sort incoming loads of raw materials by species
- Inspect raw materials for quality standards and report any defects to plant leadership
- Load infeed bins according to production schedule requirements
- Operate equipment including a skid steer, forklift, and yard truck; ability to learn and safely use all equipment controls is required
- Perform routine loader inspections and basic maintenance
- Assist across multiple areas of the facility, as employees are responsible for supporting all aspects of operations in a small-team environment
- Lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to maintain efficient workflow
- Support additional duties and responsibilities as needed
Woodyard Loader Operator Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- One to two years loader operation experience in an industrial setting highly preferred
- Will need good eye, hand and foot coordination
- Will need the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task
- Will need to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis and stand and sit for long periods of time
- Will need to climb up and down stairs to get in and out of loader with no fear of confined spaces or heights
- Requires the ability to do simple math calculations, use basic tools, and exhibit mechanical aptitude when conducting loader maintenance
