Referral Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Referral Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance companies, ensuring smooth and efficient referral processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process patient referrals accurately and promptly
  • Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Maintain and update referral records in the electronic health record system
  • Follow up on pending referrals to ensure timely appointments and services
  • Educate patients about referral procedures and assist with any questions or concerns
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate seamless patient care transitions
  • Monitor referral workflows to identify and resolve any issues or delays

Job Type:

  • Fulltime

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday (no weekends)
  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare-related certifications preferred
  • Proven experience in healthcare coordination, medical office administration, or related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and authorization procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive information with confidentiality
