Night Dispatcher Job

Description: The Night Dispatcher will report to Branch Manager and Branch Supervisor. This position provides information and support to drivers.

Requirements:

A successful Dispatcher candidate must demonstrate the ability to organize, control and manage the successful delivery of customer orders. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literacy and the ability to function in an electronic communication environment are essential. A working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements is necessary. A commitment to comply with and support safety standards, as well as, all regulatory and company policies and procedures is imperative. Prior dispatch experience is a plus. Must be able to get in truck when needed.

Knowledge and Experience:

• CDL B with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
• TWIC and Medical card
• Positive attitude under stress conditions
• History of reliable work performance
• Excellent communication, relationship building and planning skills
• Ability to make sound business decisions in driver deployment
• Understand the importance and value of effective customer relations and satisfaction to the success of the business
• Excellent computer skills required
