We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Glaucoma Surgeon to join our ophthalmology team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and surgically treating glaucoma, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic testing for patients with glaucoma.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans including medical, laser, and surgical interventions.
  • Perform glaucoma surgeries such as trabeculectomy, tube shunt implantation, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), and other advanced procedures.
  • Monitor patient progress post-surgery and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in glaucoma treatment and surgical techniques through continuing education and professional development.
  • Educate patients and their families about glaucoma management and preventive care.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in Glaucoma surgery preferred.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Texas PREFERRED
  • Proven experience performing a wide range of glaucoma surgical procedures.
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Work Environment

This position is based in Plano, TX, within a modern clinical setting equipped with the latest ophthalmic technology. The role involves both outpatient clinic hours and surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting.
