JOB SUMMARY
The Communications and Engagement Coordinator serves as a key member of the Communications production team for the Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) providing communications support by producing and distributing visual and written communications materials for City programs, initiatives, events, and outreach efforts. The position functions as a core production resource for quick-turn communications needs, including flyers, signage, infographics, informational materials, and event collateral.
The Communications and Engagement Coordinator also assists with community engagement activities, public outreach efforts, and communications activation at events and community programs. Spanish-language communication and translation abilities are strongly preferred to support PCMC’s commitment to accessible communication.
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES
- Provides general communications project support for City programs, initiatives, and community outreach activities.
- Produces communications materials including flyers, signage, informational graphics, infographics, fact sheets, and event materials.
- Assists departments in translating complex information into clear and accessible communications materials for the public.
- Supports the development and distribution of outreach materials for City programs, services, and events.
- Assists with communications activation at City events, community meetings, outreach programs, and tabling opportunities.
- Coordinates production and distribution of communications materials used for public engagement efforts, presentations, and informational displays.
- Assists with writing and editing content for flyers, web updates, social media posts, public information materials, and other communications products.
- Supports development of visual communications materials including program collateral, informational displays, and digital graphics.
- Assists with translation and development of Spanish-language communications materials when needed.
- Works closely with the Communications Director and communications team to prioritize and execute communications requests from City departments.
- Supports communications response for emerging issues, program launches, or high-priority City initiatives.
- Assists with basic photography and video to document City programs and events when needed.
- Maintains templates and production systems to support efficient creation of communications materials.
- Assists with distribution of communications materials across digital and print platforms.
- Supports organization and logistics for communications and outreach events.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, journalism, graphic design, marketing, or related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant communications, public engagement, or content production experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience producing communications materials in a municipal or public sector environment.
- Experience supporting public engagement or community outreach programs.
- Spanish-language fluency or strong working proficiency.
