What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end reconciliations for inventory, COGS, and marketplace and retail revenue — resolving variances, tracing discrepancies to root cause, and maintaining clear, audit-ready documentation
- Work with raw data exports from marketplace and inventory systems — cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large files in Excel to validate COGS accuracy, identify cost trends, and surface discrepancies
- Serve as a data liaison between Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of inputs that flow into revenue and inventory reporting
- Assist with month-end close process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
- Identify and drive process improvements, including automation of repetitive Excel workflows and reporting
- Build ad-hoc data analyses and financial models for senior leadership
- Support external audits by preparing reconciliation schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries
- Perform general ledger entries and bookkeeping in NetSuite, maintaining data integrity across accounts
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience required; CPA candidate or public accounting background a plus; e-commerce or retail experience a plus
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance
- Experience with inventory and/or revenue recognition preferred
- Must have NetSuite Experience
- Leverage tools such as Power BI and AI models to streamline processes and drive efficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, etc.)
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment — highly organized, proactive, and able to manage competing deadlines while collaborating closely with teammates
- Data-curious mindset with a knack for spotting patterns, outliers, and resolving discrepancies in complex datasets
- Comfortable translating data findings into clear, concise communication for non-finance stakeholders
