About This Position

Brown Technologies is currently seeking a part-time Program Manager to support our USG customer in Washington, D.C.

DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team in a part-time capacity (4 hours per week) supporting ongoing program activities in the National Capital Region. The ideal candidate brings a wealth of program management experience, exceptional communication skills, and the flexibility to engage both on-site and remotely as mission needs require.

This role is well-suited for a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can deliver high-impact results within a condensed schedule. The ability to build relationships quickly, stay organized across competing priorities, and communicate clearly with government and industry stakeholders is essential to success in this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide part-time program management support across assigned programs, ensuring progress aligns with organizational goals, schedules, and budgets.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholder communication, delivering timely and accurate program status updates.
  • Track action items, risks, and milestones, escalating issues as appropriate to ensure program continuity.
  • Coordinate meetings, briefings, and reviews with government and industry partners in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, including schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Apply structured program management methodologies to support planning, execution, and closeout activities.
  • Maintain flexibility to shift priorities and support emerging program needs on short notice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in program management within a defense, government, or aerospace environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to brief senior stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in Washington, D.C., approximately 50% of the time
  • Flexibility to adapt schedule and priorities in response to dynamic program demands

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Master's degree in Program Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Prior experience supporting USG customers in the National Capital Region
  • Familiarity with defense acquisition frameworks (e.g., DoDI 5000 series)
