This role is a strategic leadership position responsible for managing a team of account managers while overseeing a portfolio of high-value client relationships. The Senior Manager will ensure the successful delivery of digital and brand initiatives across multiple accounts, driving revenue growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The position requires collaboration across project management, strategy, design, and development teams to deliver measurable outcomes and strategic growth. This leader will mentor and develop account teams, manage escalations, and provide insights to strengthen client partnerships. The role balances operational oversight with direct client engagement, offering opportunities to influence business strategy and account performance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and combines leadership, analytical, and client-facing skills to produce exceptional results.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 Account Managers, conducting performance reviews, goal-setting, and weekly 1:1s
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the account management team
  • Directly manage a portfolio of 5–6 enterprise or strategic accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and driving client strategy across digital platforms such as Wordpress, Drupal, and Shopify
  • Translate client business goals into integrated strategies, measurable outcomes, and actionable recommendations
  • Own client presentations, quarterly business reviews, roadmaps, forecasted results, and performance reporting
  • Monitor account health, mitigate risk, and resolve escalations to protect revenue, retention, and client satisfaction
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities to drive incremental revenue growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 8+ years of client-facing account management experience, with 4+ years managing direct reports, preferably in a digital agency environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex enterprise accounts with multi-channel digital programs
  • Deep understanding of CMS platforms (Wordpress, Drupal, Shopify) and ability to perform backend updates if needed
  • Strong data literacy, translating metrics into insights and recommendations for clients
  • Skilled at cross-functional leadership, influencing without authority, and demonstrating emotional intelligence
  • Business acumen with experience in revenue forecasting, margin management, and performance tracking
  • Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools (Slack, Google Workspace, ClickUp)
  • Experience with agile or hybrid project management methodologies a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving ability
