Senior Product Engineer

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical leadership across the lifecycle of medium voltage power distribution products. The Senior Product Engineer will ensure product integrity, compliance with industry standards, and seamless introduction of new products into manufacturing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to align engineering efforts with business objectives. This position emphasizes problem-solving, continuous improvement, and innovation, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. You will also support suppliers and internal teams in maintaining product quality, resolving technical challenges, and developing training materials. The environment is dynamic and collaborative, with a mix of office and manufacturing floor engagement, and some travel may be required.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for medium and low voltage power distribution products
  • Lead testing, qualification, and introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing
  • Coordinate product lifecycle activities and resolve cross-product technical issues
  • Develop, maintain, and finalize engineering documentation for production and commercial use
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure product alignment with business objectives
  • Provide technical leadership and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop training materials to support internal teams and customer applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
  • 2–5 years of experience in power distribution equipment or a related industry
  • Knowledge of medium voltage switchgear design and industry standards (UL 1558, UL 1008, ANSI C37.20, NEC/CEC)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD tools, and ERP systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
