The Director / VP Sales will lead consultative sales efforts, focusing on delivering creative, data-driven solutions that meet client objectives and drive measurable business outcomes. This position requires a hunter mentality, strategic thinking, and expertise in digital and social media marketing, with a proven track record of closing high-value deals. The role includes full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and contract execution, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to broader sales strategy. Success in this position directly impacts revenue growth and market positioning in highly competitive verticals. The role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, requiring adaptability, leadership, and a strong client-first mindset.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute consultative sales strategies with Fortune 1000 brands and agency partners, focusing on creator marketing and influencer-driven campaigns
  • Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, client engagement, proposal development, and deal closing
  • Educate clients on the value of data-driven, trend-forward creator content and digital media solutions
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships, securing large-scale ($1M+) annual and multi-year contracts
  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure seamless delivery, optimize client experience, and share best practices
  • Mentor and support sales team members, fostering professional development and future leadership capabilities
  • Manage a robust sales pipeline, consistently achieving revenue targets while identifying new growth opportunities

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of proven success in digital sales, online media, or related consultative sales to executive-level clients or agencies
  • Established relationships within CPG, QSR, healthcare/pharma, entertainment, or similar verticals
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding quota and closing deals exceeding $1M annually
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills with a solution-oriented, results-driven mindset
  • Deep understanding of social media marketing, digital advertising, and creator/influencer campaigns
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and navigating complex client organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while based in the Chicago metro area
  • Energetic, collaborative, and capable of balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution
