Director, Product Management - Next Gen Platform

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Product Management - Next Gen Platform in the United States.

As the Director of Product Management for our Next Gen Platform, you will spearhead the product vision for a cutting-edge issuance and processing architecture. This high-impact role involves leading a senior team to modernize core platform components—including ledger, tokenization, and processing—while directly influencing systems that handle over $300B in annual Total Payment Volume (TPV). You will operate in a "Flex First" environment, bridging the gap between high-level strategy and operational excellence to deliver exceptional platform performance. Your work will enable the organization to move faster by building resilient systems and intuitive tooling that support both new and existing global customers. By translating complex market signals into strategic product bets, you will ensure our infrastructure remains at the forefront of the dynamic payments landscape.

Accountabilities:
  • Strategic Vision & Execution: Lead the product vision for the next-generation platform, focusing on service abstraction, scalability, and platform modernization across issuing, processing, and fulfillment.

  • Operational Excellence: Architect operating models for medium-scale engineering organizations and create executive-level clarity regarding production health, platform risk, and product performance.

  • Customer Success & Trust: Deliver measurable improvements to customer satisfaction by embedding support insights into prioritization and ensuring every roadmap decision delivers impact at scale.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Mentor and grow a high-performing senior product organization, fostering a culture of systemic thinking, accountability, and technical rigor.

  • Regulatory & Market Alignment: Stay ahead of network regulations and market shifts (ISO 8583, EMV) to turn external signals into competitive internal advantages.

Requirements:
  • Extensive Leadership Experience: 10+ years in product management leadership, specifically within fintech, SaaS platforms, or the payments industry.

  • Deep Domain Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the payments ecosystem, including card brand regulations, digital wallets, gateway services, and tokenization.

  • Technical Acumen: High proficiency with APIs, cloud services, distributed systems, and modern production support practices like observability and SLAs/SLOs.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proven ability to identify key metrics and balance quantitative data with qualitative insights to execute a rigorous product roadmap.

  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to business audiences and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Pragmatic Mindset: A "roll up your sleeves" approach to problem-solving, seeking root causes and driving team accountability to achieve extraordinary outcomes.

Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: Calibrated by location tiers (National: $198,100 - $247,600; Premium: $214,400 - $268,000; Premium Plus: $233,000 - $291,300) plus annual performance bonuses.

  • Flex First Culture: The freedom to work remotely anywhere in the U.S. or from a dedicated company office.

  • Health & Wellness: Multiple health insurance options, free therapy sessions, and financial/professional coaching.

  • Financial Growth: Equity in a publicly-traded company, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), and retirement savings with company contributions.

  • Family Support: Comprehensive family-forming benefits, fertility support, and up to 20 weeks of paid Parental Leave.

  • Time Off & Stipends: Flexible "take what you need" time off, a monthly remote work stipend, and annual "development dollars" for professional growth.
