Job Description
Continental Floral Greens is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support our Miami-area operations. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance throughout harvesting, processing, packaging, and shipping. The Quality Control Specialist plays a key role in protecting product integrity, supporting customer specifications, and promoting continuous improvement across operations.
This is a hands-on, non-exempt position working in warehouse and field environments, ideal for individuals with experience in quality control within agriculture, floriculture, food production, or manufacturing.
- Inspect floral greens at harvest, post-processing, packaging, and shipping stages to ensure quality and specification compliance
- Monitor production lines and inventory for consistency and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standards
- Evaluate incoming raw materials and communicate quality issues with suppliers and internal teams
- Document quality inspections, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and quality metrics
- Stop and report incoming or outgoing shipments that do not meet quality standards
- Verify packaging, temperature control, accuracy, and overall shipment readiness
- Operate warehouse equipment including lift trucks, hand trucks, and stretch wrap banders
- Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to operations, farms, suppliers, and sales partners
- Support training on quality control procedures and safety protocols
- Participate in process improvement and product development initiatives
- Maintain accurate records to support audits, inspections, and internal reporting
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Act in alignment with Continental Floral Greens mission, values, and quality standards
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality control role
- Experience in agriculture, floriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret quality specifications and technical documentation
- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
- Familiarity with quality tracking or inspection reporting systems
- Experience working in production, warehouse, or agricultural operations
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic quality documentation tools
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Commitment to teamwork, inclusivity, and continuous improvement
