This role offers the opportunity to lead complex, mission-critical healthcare IT programs within a highly regulated federal environment. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end program delivery for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) initiatives that support essential healthcare and government operations. Acting as both a strategic leader and execution partner, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee the successful implementation of large-scale data exchange systems. The position requires balancing governance, delivery oversight, and stakeholder management across technical, business, and federal partners. You will operate in a dynamic environment where precision, accountability, and structured execution are essential. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on program outcomes, compliance integrity, and service continuity.
- Lead overall program management for EDI initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, governance, and delivery oversight.
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of healthcare EDI transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277), ensuring accuracy and operational continuity.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Integration Analysts, and external vendors.
- Oversee program governance activities such as status reporting, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, and escalation handling.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy regulations, security standards, and contractual obligations.
- Develop and maintain program documentation including business cases, project charters, project plans, and executive reports.
- Track and communicate program performance metrics using dashboards and structured reporting tools.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support federal planning, budgeting, procurement, and executive decision-making processes across multiple initiatives.
- Apply Agile and traditional project management methodologies to ensure successful delivery in evolving environments.
- 10+ years of experience managing Health IT programs or projects, preferably within federal or healthcare environments.
- Strong experience working with EDI systems and healthcare data exchange standards.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, application development, and information security in regulated environments.
- Proven ability to manage client-facing relationships and communicate effectively with executive and technical stakeholders.
- Experience leading integrated delivery teams, including government stakeholders and third-party vendors.
- Strong knowledge of project management, financial oversight, performance tracking, and government procurement processes.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including iterative planning and execution.
- Ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery timelines across complex programs.
- Familiarity with federal compliance, audit requirements, and documentation standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
- Certifications preferred: PMP or PgMP, Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe), ITIL v3.
- Competitive salary ranging from $100,730 to $120,500, depending on experience and location
