We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher to support kitchen and dining operations at Meridians Restaurant within Sun City Lincoln Hills Community Association. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, safety conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast paced setting while supporting the culinary team as needed.

Key Responsibilities
The Dishwasher is responsible for washing and sanitizing all kitchen wares, including dishes, utensils, and cookware, using dishwashing machines and three compartment sink systems. Duties include safely handling cleaning chemicals, maintaining dish machine temperature logs, draining and changing machine water as needed, and ensuring all cleaned items are properly stored and organized.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Scrubbing pots and pans and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen work areas
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors (A.M. shift) or scrubbing and squeegeeing floors (P.M. shift)
• Cleaning back dock and delivery areas and responding immediately to spills
• Collecting trash, relining garbage cans, breaking down boxes, and using compactors properly
• Inspecting trash to ensure kitchenware is not accidentally discarded
• Assisting with food preparation, putting away deliveries, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storerooms
• Reporting equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Chef
• Adhering to all state and local health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Qualifications
• Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• CPR / AED / First Aid certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Minimum six months of related experience or willingness and aptitude to train
• Knowledge of proper dishwashing, cleaning, and storage procedures
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Physical Requirements
This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving throughout the workday is required. The employee must be able to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work both indoors in climate controlled areas and outdoors in varying weather and lighting conditions.

Work Environment
The Dishwasher works in a fast paced kitchen environment with frequent interruptions, multitasking, and exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, temperature changes, and wet or slippery surfaces. The role requires consistent alertness, strong attention to safety, and the ability to remain professional and effective during high pressure or stressful situations.
