HR Manager/Recruiting Partner

About SugarAI UK Limited

SugarAI is redefining CRM for the age of AI.

We’re delivering on the original promise of CRM—turning fragmented customer and revenue signals into clear, prioritized action. Instead of more dashboards or surface-level insights, we help teams focus on what matters most and know exactly what to do next.

More than two decades after our founding, we’re entering a new chapter with clarity and momentum—building intelligent, intuitive solutions that work within the flow of how teams actually sell and serve. We’re focused on solving complex, real-world challenges where relationships, context, and precision make all the difference.

Our global team is united by a shared commitment to impact, ownership, and continuous growth. We create an environment where thoughtful ideas move quickly, where people are trusted to lead, and where flexibility supports how great work gets done.

If you’re excited to help shape what’s next in AI-driven CRM—and build technology that drives real outcomes—we’d love to meet you.
Where You Fit In:

At SugarAI, we’re redefining how businesses build meaningful customer relationships—and that starts with both exceptional talent and a strong employee experience. This role sits at the intersection of HR partnership and talent acquisition, playing a critical role in shaping how we attract, hire, and support our people in the UK and across the region.

You’ll be the primary HR presence in the UK and a key driver of full-cycle recruiting, acting as a trusted partner to employees, managers, and leadership. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll balance operational excellence with genuine relationship-building.

Our UK team is at an important moment, with the opportunity to strengthen engagement, rebuild trust, and elevate both hiring and employee experience. Success in this role requires someone who combines strong HR expertise, recruiting capability, and the ability to influence and connect with people at all levels.

This role is based in our Solihull office with a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite).

Impact You Will Make In the Role:

HR Partnership & Employee Experience

  • Serve as the trusted first point of contact for UK employees and managers on all people-related matters

  • Build strong, credible relationships across our Solihull office by being a visible, approachable, and trusted presence

  • Partner with managers globally to navigate UK employment law and manage employee matters effectively

  • Lead employee relations cases (performance, conduct, absence, grievance) with sound judgment and confidence

  • Drive the design and execution of key people programs and tailoring global frameworks for the UK or supporting global rollouts.

  • Support efforts to strengthen culture, rebuild trust, and improve overall employee experience

  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure compliance with UK and EU data regulations

Talent Acquisition

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across key functions (Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and more), from intake through offer

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define hiring needs and execute effective, practical recruiting strategies

  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines using proactive and creative sourcing strategies

  • Drive momentum and accountability across searches, ensuring alignment, speed, and quality outcomes

  • Deliver a thoughtful, high-quality candidate experience that reflects SugarAI’s brand and values

  • Maintain accurate data and reporting within the ATS (Lever)

Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers—coaching, challenging, and improving both people and hiring outcomes

  • Support global managers in understanding UK-specific practices and regulations

  • Contribute to policy development, compliance tracking, and broader HR initiatives

  • Act as a secondary HR business partner across Europe, providing coverage and continuity when needed

What You Will Bring:
  • 4+ years of combined HR generalist and/or recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong, practical knowledge of UK employment law

  • Experience handling employee relations matters independently and confidently

  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruiting with strong hiring manager partnership

  • Ability to build trust and credibility quickly with employees and leaders

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with ownership, accountability, and urgency

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Comfort operating as a solo HR presence in-country, with good judgment on when to escalate

  • Experience operating in a distributed or global organization

  • High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a people-first mindset

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CIPD Level 5 or above

  • Experience in a high-growth or PE-backed SaaS environment

  • Experience supporting distributed or international teams

Compensation determined based on experience.
We understand that no candidate is perfectly qualified for any job. Experience comes in different forms; many skills are transferable; and passion goes a long way. Even more important than your resume is a clear demonstration of dedication, impact, and the ability to thrive in a fluid and collaborative environment. We want you to learn new things in this role, and we encourage you to apply if your experience is close to what we’re looking for. We also know that diversity of background and thought makes for better problem solving and more creative thinking, which is why we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team.

· UK Pension Scheme
· Private medical and dental insurance
