We are looking for a passionate and driven Store Manager to lead our Oneonta team and create a positive, high-energy environment for both employees and customers.
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations, staffing, training members, customer experience, and sales performance within the store. This role builds and develops a friendly, service-focused team while maintaining Scooter's Coffee standards and culture. The ideal candidate leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about developing people and delivering exceptional service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Staffing
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop baristas and shift leaders
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture built on Scooter's Coffee core values
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and employee development
- Create weekly schedules based on business needs and staffing requirements
- Maintain accountability and performance standards within the team
- Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic
Customer Experience & Operations
- Deliver an AMAZING customer experience through quality drinks, fast service, and friendly interactions
- Ensure consistent execution of Scooter's Coffee recipes, standards, and procedures
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, food safety standards, and equipment maintenance
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and supply management
- Ensure all cash handling and POS procedures are completed accurately
Sales & Performance
- Drive store sales and profitability through strong leadership and operational efficiency
- Monitor labor costs, expenses, and store performance metrics
- Help set store goals and motivate the team to achieve them
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous management experience in retail, restaurant, coffee, or hospitality industries preferred
- Basic understanding of scheduling, labor management, and sales performance
- Experience with POS systems, Google Sheets, and email communication
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move throughout shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-space environment
- Ability to wear a headset and communicate clearly in a loud environment
- Weekend and holiday availability required
