Treasury & Collections Analyst:
Summary:
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Treasury & Collections Analyst to manage accounts receivable activities and provide entry‑level support to Web Industries, Inc.’s treasury function. Reporting to the Director of Treasury, this role combines day‑to‑day collections and credit administration with responsibilities for forecasting customer receipts, cash application, and routine banking/transaction tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates well with customers and internal partners, and is comfortable working cross functionally and leading teams/discussion through change..
Key responsibilities:
- Manage collections activities for all customer accounts: contact customers, resolve payment issues, negotiate payment arrangements, collaborate with Web Customer Care colleagues to escalate delinquent accounts per Web’s Internal Escalation policy. Responsibilities Include but no limited too:
- Organize and report on past due accounts
- Schedule and conduct weekly/bi-weekly meetings to review accounts
- Post meeting follow up of scheduled actions and timelines for resolutions
- Liaise with Senior Leaders to provide updates on progress and request assistance where warranted
- Monitor AR aging, identify trends/risks, and prepare weekly/monthly collections reports.
- In partnership with Director of Treasury and Legal team, perform credit assessments and set/modify customer credit limits in accordance with company policy; gather financial information and references as needed.
- Prepares annual credit insurance renewal information and works with broker/insurer to set correct coverage levels for A/R
- Apply customer payments accurately and timely (cash application) and resolve unapplied cash items and short pays.
- Prepare day‑to‑day banking administration tasks: process ACH, wire transfers, check runs, lockbox items and other routine bank transactions under supervision.
- Maintain bank account documentation, assist with bank signatory updates, and support bank fee/transaction related inquiries.
- Produce and maintain customer receipts forecasts and contribute to rolling 13-week cash forecast (daily/weekly receipts forecasts) to support treasury liquidity planning.
- Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger and support month‑end close tasks related to AR and cash.
- Support treasury team with daily /weekly cash position reporting, positive pay file prep, and ad hoc transaction tracking.
- Prepare analysis and KPI reporting (DSO, past due collections, forecast variance) and present findings to Director of Treasury.
- Assist with internal and external audits, documentation requests, and continuous improvement initiatives (process automation, AR system housekeeping).
- Maintain accurate customer records and document collection activities in Traverse.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable, credit & collections, or treasury support (internships or co‑op experience acceptable for entry level).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Traverse, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer service orientation.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and cash accounting processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Discretion with confidential financial information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cash application tools/lockbox processing.
- Familiarity with bank file formats (ACH, wire, NACHA) and treasury management systems.
- Prior exposure to credit scoring, trade references, or collections software.
- Familiarity with Credit Card payment Systems and processing details
Performance metrics:
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Collection effectiveness / percent of overdue collected
- Cash application match rate and unapplied cash reduction
- Forecast accuracy for customer receipts
- Timeliness and accuracy of daily banking transactions and reconciliations
Must be able to work on government contracts.
