• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end AI-powered agent experiences, including orchestration systems, conversational interfaces, tool integrations, and evaluation pipelines.
• Develop scalable backend architectures and contribute to platform-level AI infrastructure supporting production-grade agentic systems.
• Build and optimize shared engineering systems such as retrieval pipelines, RAG frameworks, observability tooling, conversation persistence layers, and permissioning systems.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and product strategies.
• Evaluate and improve AI system performance through experimentation, testing methodologies, and iterative optimization.
• Make strategic engineering decisions balancing scalability, reliability, latency, and operational efficiency.
• Lead or contribute to large technical initiatives across multiple teams while promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
• Mentor fellow engineers and support the development of a strong, collaborative engineering culture.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development and distributed systems.
• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI, LLM-powered, or agentic AI applications.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript for backend system development.
• Hands-on experience with AI orchestration concepts including tool calling, prompt engineering, agent loops, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation and observability tools such as LangSmith, Braintrust, or custom evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with full-stack development using modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of databases including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience designing scalable microservices architectures and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in fast-moving environments.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), customer-facing AI products, startup environments, or open-source AI tooling is considered a strong advantage.
• Prior mentoring experience or technical leadership contributions are highly valued.
