Line Cook - On-Call at AAHS SAN PABLO LLC – San Pablo, California

We're seeking an experienced Line Cook to provide coverage at short notice on an on-call basis. A & A Health Services San Pablo provides transitional housing and resident-centered care services for clients suffering from mental health, addiction, and/or dual diagnosis.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about offering delicious and nutritious food, hospitality and service to our clients. This position is an important part of our team. Under the general direction of the Culinary Director, follows established procedures and policies in reference to the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of the facility kitchen.

Shift Details

• On-call as needed
• Any shift

Essential Functions of the Job

• The cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with the approved menu, current standards, guidelines, and regulations with established procedures, and as may be directed by the Executive Director and/or Culinary Services Director to assure that quality food service is always provided
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED – EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
• Minimum of one-year related experience
• Two years preferred a restaurant or catering back of house role.
• Experience in a residential facility preferred but not required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
