Your Role
As a Commercial Lines New Business Placement Executive, you will focus exclusively on managing inbound commercial opportunities from initial contact through bind. The role centers on risk evaluation, carrier placement, and presenting coverage options to clients in a clear, confident manner. This is a phone-based role with no cold calling and no external prospecting.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing inbound and warm lead commercial opportunities from initial contact through bind
- Evaluating client operations and exposures to determine appropriate coverage needs
- Marketing submissions to carriers aligned with underwriting appetite and risk profile
- Securing competitive quotes and presenting coverage options clearly and confidently
- Educating clients on required and recommended commercial coverages based on business operations and risk profile
- Binding coverage and coordinating policy issuance
- Maintaining working knowledge of carrier appetites, limitations and placement strategies
- Managing a high-volume pipeline of small to mid-sized commercial accounts, including BOP business
Success in this role is driven by placement expertise, responsiveness, and conversion of qualified inbound opportunities, not outbound prospecting.

- Commercial Insurance Professional: You have experience quoting and placing commercial insurance and are comfortable owning the quote-to-bind process
- New Business Oriented: You enjoy working new opportunities from intake through bind and moving efficiently to the next placement
- Detail-Oriented and Organized: You can manage multiple quoting opportunities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Clear Communicator: You explain coverage options, recommendations, and trade-offs confidently and in plain language
- Placement-Focused: You are comfortable evaluating risk, navigating carrier appetite, and adjusting submissions to secure coverage
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable working across agency management systems, carrier portals, and related tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Property and Casualty insurance license
- At least three years of experience in the insurance industry with hands-on responsibility for quoting and placing insurance products
- Commercial lines experience with direct involvement in quoting and binding new business coverage
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and risk evaluation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with small to mid-sized commercial accounts, including BOP business
- Familiarity with carrier submission platforms and agency management systems
- Ability to balance efficiency with thoughtful coverage consultation
