This role provides leadership over multiple locations within a defined geographic region, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and financial performance. You will oversee both people and assets, managing budgets, capital, and inventory to support business objectives while maintaining high standards for compliance and customer service. The position requires strategic and tactical decision-making, driving process improvements, and coordinating cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for developing staff, optimizing workflows, and implementing best practices across operations, administration, and logistics. This is a highly visible position that balances hands-on management with strategic planning in a dynamic, multi-site environment. Travel is required to support the region effectively and maintain strong connections with location teams.
- Lead operational performance across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with profit and loss goals, staffing plans, and resource allocation
- Oversee capital investments, equipment, and facility improvements to maximize productivity and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and DOT regulations
- Directly or indirectly manage all operational and administrative personnel within the region, providing leadership, coaching, and development
- Maintain standards for financial processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit management, ensuring timely and accurate customer interactions
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize operations, enhance customer service, and support overall business objectives
- Coordinate and communicate operational, safety, environmental, HR, legal, and risk management strategies with internal teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in operations management or related roles, ideally within the agriculture or food industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with industry-specific software
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, capital, and operational metrics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing across multiple teams and locations
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
