Job Summary:

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the warehouse and facility to support a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. This role performs routine cleaning, waste removal, and spill response tasks in various environments, including freezer, cooler, warehouse, dock, and outdoor areas, in accordance with company safety and sanitation standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough aisle sweeping throughout the warehouse.
• Conduct end-of-shift walkthroughs and remove trash from freezer and cooler areas.
• Promptly clean spills and maintain safe walking and working surfaces throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse docks through daily sweeping and upkeep.
• Regularly empty trash receptacles throughout the facility.
• Maintain sanitation standards in indoor, outdoor, freezer, and cooler environments.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with additional sanitation and facility tasks as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Prior experience in sanitation, janitorial, or custodial work preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The role requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. The employee must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver cleaning tools and trash weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. The position requires the ability to work in varying temperature environments, including freezer, cooler, and outdoor conditions, and tolerate moderate noise levels.
