This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the safety, reliability, and performance of modern aircraft systems. You will be responsible for evaluating, modifying, and maintaining aircraft components, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing operational efficiency. The position involves close collaboration with maintenance, flight operations, and engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and implement technical improvements. You will handle technical airworthiness management, conduct problem-solving analyses, and support both line and heavy maintenance operations. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role requiring strong technical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to translate complex systems knowledge into actionable engineering solutions. - Review and respond to Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and ensure compliance with FAA, ANAC, and other regulatory agencies.
- Evaluate and disposition aircraft systems Service Bulletins, modifications, and technical documentation for safety, reliability, and economic impact.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for operational teams, resolving aircraft system issues and providing guidance on modifications or repairs.
- Develop and approve installations, upgrades, and procedures for aircraft systems components, ensuring airworthiness and operational compliance.
- Support line and heavy maintenance, including on-site technical guidance at MROs and during AOG situations to return aircraft to service.
- Prepare technical documentation such as Engineering Orders (EOs) and customized procedures for non-standard maintenance actions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate new systems technologies and provide technical support throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Avionics, Electrical, or Systems concentration, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in aircraft systems engineering, modification, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems architecture, Flight Management Systems, and regulatory requirements under 14 CFR Parts 21, 25, 91, and 121.
- Experience working in Part 121 operations and familiarity with Embraer and Airbus systems.
- Strong technical report writing skills, including preparation of test plans, results, troubleshooting, and compliance documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to read aircraft wiring diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and travel as required.
- Preferred: FAA DER, Airframe/Powerplant license, AutoCAD experience, TRAX system knowledge, and manufacturer-specific training for Embraer or Airbus systems.
