The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and success of the women’s basketball program. This includes tactical preparation, fiscal management, recruitment of student-athletes, and ensuring the program aligns with the university's mission of academic and athletic excellence.
- Oversee all aspects of the women’s basketball program, including practice planning and game-day management.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic visions for program growth and competitive success.
- Recruit high-caliber student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of Westcliff University.
- Manage the program budget, including travel, equipment, and scholarship allocations.
- Supervise and mentor assistant coaching staff and graduate assistants.
- Ensure full compliance with NAIA and university regulations.
- Monitor and support the academic progress and retention of student-athletes.
- Handles other projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- CPR/AED Certification
- Minimum 1 years of experience coaching Women's Basketball in the college atmosphere or equivalent experience (competing or managing at an elite level) in a related field.
- Knowledge of the NAIA’s rules, expectations, and procedures, specifically within Women's Basketball.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage Women's Basketball staff and students
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree
- 1 years of experience coaching Women's Basketball at the college level within the NAIA.
Employees must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license in order to travel to and from practices
and home competitions
