Now Hiring: Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Day Shift for the Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House

Good Samaritan Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time CNA to join our Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House care team. At Good Samaritan Hospice, we affirm life every day by providing compassionate care to patients and families facing serious illness. Our services include care in homes, facilities, and at the Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House, a peaceful, homelike setting offering 16 private suites designed for comfort, rest, and round-the-clock hospice care. Each suite provides space for loved ones, along with inviting family areas, a courtyard, and a meditation chapel.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: 3X12s 7am - 7pm
  • Employment Type: Full-time, hourly

What You’ll Do

  • Provide personal care and emotional support to hospice patients.
  • Assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and daily living activities.
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
  • Support families and work closely with the care team to ensure comfort and dignity.

Qualifications:

  • Current Virginia CNA license and valid driver’s license.
  • At least 1 year of CNA experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or long-term care.
  • Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer and EMR experience.
