This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the quality strategy and automation initiatives for large-scale software systems. As a Staff Quality Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and scaling of test automation frameworks, driving AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve software reliability, efficiency, and release velocity. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams, influence organizational quality culture, and mentor engineers across distributed teams. This position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise, ensuring that high-quality standards are maintained while supporting rapid development cycles. The environment is fast-paced, innovative, and highly collaborative, offering exposure to cutting-edge tools, cloud platforms, and AI-driven testing approaches. Your work will directly impact operational excellence and customer satisfaction across enterprise-scale systems.
Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of robust test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile platforms.
  • Define next-generation QA strategies and drive adoption of AI/ML-driven automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Establish enterprise-wide QA metrics to measure engineering productivity, cycle times, and release quality.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers across distributed teams, promoting best practices and a QA-driven culture.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure quality objectives align with business priorities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, post-mortems, and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent systemic issues.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern testing tools and AI-assisted approaches to enhance automation capabilities.
  • Take ownership of quality outcomes across development, test, and production environments.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance with enterprise-scale systems exposure.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright, Java, TestNG, and JavaScript-based frameworks such as Mocha.
  • 6+ years of experience in test automation across API, web, and mobile platforms.
  • 4+ years leading QA teams and managing multiple applications or large-scale projects.
  • Proficient in API automation using Node.js and performance/load testing with tools like JMeter.
  • Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing standards, and governance best practices.
  • Skilled in translating technical strategies to diverse audiences and mentoring team members.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and cloud-native testing.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing, automation optimization, and intelligent quality analytics.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Experience with HITRUST, FEDRAMP HIGH systems, and transitioning teams from manual to fully automated testing lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of advanced testing frameworks, functional and performance testing tools.
