Shift
7:30am – 4:15pm

Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors and may include some nights(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.
Job Summary
This position will work as a team leader for 1-5 employees & will complete all duties of an Electronic Tech I & II. This position coordinates job site responsibilities, makes decisions and ensures proper communication to supervisors, customers, and colleagues.

Responsibilities include:
  • work on computer systems
  • read volt meters and technical writings
  • design, install, operate, and maintain complex systems
  • work with the fi re marshal to conduct fire alarms inspections
  • order supplies and maintain inventory records
  • ensure safety
  • prepare cost estimates on projects associated with Energy Management Systems (self-contained emergency lights, intercom systems, etc.)
  • assist with designs and modifications for expansion and renovation projects
  • prepare cost estimates
  • maintain technical drawings
  • follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • collaborate with customers, department, and shops across the University

This individual must be available for emergency call-backs, work overtime as needed, and take on responsibilities as assigned. This position may also require some shift work.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems. Knowledge ofcircuit theories. Ability to communicate effectively with others. High attentionto detail.

Preferred Education/Experience
Two years of related experience and fire alarm license are preferred.
