The Role
Role Title: Senior Sales Engineer – New Products
Location: United States (Remote)
About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer – New Products is a customer-facing, technically deep role focused on supporting the go-to-market success of Afiniti's newest products. This individual partners closely with Sales Executives, Product, and Customer Success to articulate value, demonstrate capabilities, and design solutions for enterprise customers.
This role supports global sales efforts and plays a key role in helping establish a global standard for how Sales Engineering supports Afiniti's new product portfolio. The Senior Sales Engineer will help define best practices, reusable assets, and engagement models that can scale globally.
This is a builder role—ideal for someone who enjoys working with evolving products, shaping sales motions, and translating complex technology into clear business outcomes.
What Will Be Your Key Deliverables
Pre-Sales Technical Engagement
- Partner with Sales to support enterprise sales cycles for Afiniti's new products.
- Act as the technical expert in customer engagements, including discovery, solution design, and product demonstrations.
- Translate customer business use cases into technical and architectural solutions.
- Engage CTO, CIO, architecture, and operations stakeholders to position solution design and deployment approaches.
New Product Enablement & Go-To-Market (GTM) Support
- Serve as a core contributor to go-to-market execution for new products.
- Support product launches through sales enablement, field readiness, and messaging refinement.
- Establish global standards for Sales Engineer engagement models, best practices, and delivery excellence across regions.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Design end-to-end solutions leveraging Afiniti's agentic AI and contact center integrations.
- Advise customers on architecture, integration patterns, and deployment approaches.
- Lead technical strategy for complex opportunities, pilots, and PoCs through technical validation.
- Support proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot engagements.
- Drive technical validation, risk mitigation, and solution confidence to accelerate deal progression and improve win rates.
- Create reference architectures, demo environments, and playbooks to scale product adoption globally.
Agentic AI & Contact Center Expertise
- Demonstrate deep expertise in agentic AI, conversational AI, and contact center technologies.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product teams to relay customer insights and technical feedback.
- Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless handoff from pre-sales to post-sales.
- Partner with Sales to shape technical approach within account plans across major opportunities.
- 7+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar technical pre-sales role
- Experience in agentic AI, conversational AI, or contact center software environments
- Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS architectures and integrations
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market sales cycles
- Ability and willingness to be based in Dublin, Ireland
Qualifications – Preferred
- Experience with CCaaS platforms or contact center ecosystems
- Familiarity with AI-driven workflow orchestration or automation platforms
- Experience supporting new product launches or early-stage GTM motions
- Experience operating in global, distributed teams
- Experience supporting long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
