About This Position
Position: Director of Global Sales, South Region
Status: Full-time Exempt
Position Summary
The Director of Global Sales for the South Team is responsible for developing and effectively soliciting new sales prospects, as well as establishing clients for the purpose of closing business and achieving sales goals. The ideal candidate is a successful sales professional who has a proven track record and reputation in the upscale/luxury hotel space; that will approach the market with 100% proactive sales efforts to uncover new business; and bring existing relationships while nurturing existing ALHI customers with a deep understanding of strategic selling. This candidate will work remotely and preferably reside in the state of Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, or Florida.
The Director of Global Sales shall report directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales -South Team.

Skills
The Director of Global Sales will possess extremely strong relationship skills, a strong desire to achieve and exceed goals, execution skills to make things happen, and a drive for excellence and intensity while being a strategic thinker. This candidate must have excellent telemarketing and phone etiquette skills; high emotional intelligence, effective communication, and presentation abilities; and superior time management, prioritization, and manage multiple ongoing projects while being able to sell effectively. The Director of Global Sales will understand the big picture framework of the organization to ensure a well-rounded Global Sales professional is exhibited representing the company. This candidate must have the ability to travel.
Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom Info, LinkedIn, Social Platforms, and CRM database management (Sales Force/Delphi) is preferred.
Experience
The Director of Global Sales will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience within a GSO environment or extremely proactive luxury sales environment. A degree in a related field is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
- Develop, solicit, and close group business for our member properties through direct face to face sales calls (minimum 20/month) and entertainment appointments, lead follow-up and close pipeline management, trade show attendance and participation in industry events.
- Demonstrate proven ability to build long-term client relationships that translate into appropriate business for our members.
- Maintain product knowledge of ALHI member properties by obtaining all member updates and collateral, as well as traveling and conducting site visits as directed by the Regional Vice President.
- Provide innovative solutions and think outside of the box. Willing to take risks while maintaining the financial goals and objectives of our members and ALHI.
- Must have a strong focus on achieving sales production goals.
- Collaboration with assigned Sales Associate empowering them to work as a partner to you while you are maintaining face to face engagement and focus on gaining and closing lead opportunities.
- Create sales opportunities, and accurately follow and document the lead cycle for prospect, tentative, definite, and lost business, thereby effectively maintaining database of clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong proactive relationships with our member hotels as an extension of their sales team.
- Work to further the reputation and image of ALHI in the market.
- Proactively correspond with clients regarding potential business and future opportunities.
- Set and attend regular sales calls for members.
- Maintain involvement with professional organizations Site, MPI, PCMA, etc. to advance visibility of ALHI.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of assigned regional sales/marketing events with a strategic approach to sales.
- Stay abreast of industry trends by reading industry papers and travel related articles and attending industry events.
- Abide by the policies and procedures of ALHI.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards of sales service.
- Work as a collaborative and supportive team member to those in the organization and region.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Vice President of Sales not limited to the above.
Salary at ALHI is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
