This is a high-impact commercial leadership role focused on driving growth across biospecimen solutions within the life sciences and healthcare research ecosystem. The position is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with biotech, pharma, and research clients across biofluids, tissues, cells, and specialty laboratory services. It combines strategic account development with hands-on business execution in a fast-paced, science-driven environment. The role requires strong market awareness, deep understanding of life science research needs, and the ability to translate client requirements into tailored service solutions. Operating in a highly collaborative structure, the role partners closely with scientific, operational, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Accountabilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across biospecimen offerings including biofluids, tissues, cells, prospective collections, and specialty lab services.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, mapping organizational structures and identifying decision-makers.
  • Drive expansion of existing accounts by identifying cross-selling opportunities across translational sciences and laboratory service portfolios.
  • Follow up on inbound leads, marketing inquiries, and digital requests to qualify and convert opportunities.
  • Prospect new clients within assigned territories to build and maintain a strong, sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Conduct client needs assessments and translate scientific and operational requirements into tailored solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from qualification to closure, ensuring consistent revenue growth and client retention.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including marketing, operations, clinical teams, and project management.
  • Ensure timely resolution of client concerns and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting to support forecasting and business visibility.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to promote services and generate leads.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related scientific field required.
  • 1–2 years of sales experience in life sciences or healthcare, or 3+ years in laboratory research, clinical operations, or scientific customer support.
  • Strong understanding of life science terminology, biospecimen workflows, and research applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time independently, prioritize tasks, and execute sales strategies effectively.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a highly technical environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35%, including domestic and occasional international travel.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in life sciences sales or academic/scientific concentration in a related field.
