Texas Health Flower Mound's Bariatrics and Orthopedic programs are fast-growing service lines that leverage advanced minimally invasive and robotic-assisted technologies to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Bariatric services include robotic-assisted weight-loss procedures, while Orthopedics recently expanded the use of robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery-positioning both programs at the forefront of innovation in North Texas.

Both programs operate with a highly coordinated, multidisciplinary model, bringing together surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, care coordinators, dietitians, rehabilitation teams, and administrative partners. Program coordination plays a critical role in aligning clinical workflows, patient education, scheduling, quality initiatives, and post-procedure follow-up across teams and departments.

Skills
What You Will Do
Direct management of the "Program" and coordination of all services and inpatient and outpatient departments that interact with orthopedic surgery patients including: outpatient testing/education, day of surgery, operation room, recovery room, the orthopedic surgery inpatient unit, inpatient and outpatient PT/OT services, home health, etc.
Plans, coordinates, schedules, and implements care of the bariatric patient through all phases of obesity treatment including workup, surgery, recovery and readmission.
Provides staff with ongoing performance information, communicates concerns to nurse leader for appropriate counseling and/or corrective action.
In Collaboration with Hospital Administration, works with nursing leader to develops staff, have input with operating budgets; ensures appropriate utilization and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
Enforces standards of regulatory and accreditation agencies.

Here's What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting required
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary clinical teams preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained per policy
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective planning, organization, and prioritization abilities
- Knowledge of industry standards and ability to mobilize clinical and operational resources
- Demonstrated clinical expertise with the ability to provide education and guidance to patients, staff, and stakeholders
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Experience with performance improvement and quality initiatives
- Ability to support community outreach and education programs
- Previous experience in program development, patient education, or discharge planning preferred
