About This Position

Description:

North American Powertrain Components is looking for a responsible, team-oriented individual ready to contribute to a great company. This is a full-time position (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours/week) located in Northwest Edmonton. Compensation will be negotiated based on experience.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Safely and efficiently offload inbound materials from delivery trucks using a forklift
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move transmissions, transmission cores, transfer cases, torque converters, and related products throughout the yard and warehouse
  • Organize, stage, and relocate transmission cores within the yard for storage, inspection, processing, and shipment
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments, verifying goods against packing slips and paperwork
  • Accurately put away inventory in designated warehouse and yard locations
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate product locations within a computerized inventory system
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of warehouse and yard areas
  • Perform general labour and yard support duties as required

What’s Involved:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent forklift operation
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (75–100 lbs) for short periods
  • Working within a computer-guided inventory system
  • Physically active work requiring standing, walking, and equipment operation throughout the shift
  • Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining an organized workspace

What We’d Like to See:

  • Previous forklift and yard/warehouse experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive parts is an asset
  • Computer proficiency and experience using inventory systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • A positive, team-focused attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Safety-focused mindset
