The Patient Engagement Coordinator is responsible for demonstrating knowledge and application of job duties within scope of practice and functions under the direction of the manager(s) and/or Director(s); respectfully interacts with all levels of staff; provides assistance, as needed, during assigned duty hours; participates in department activities; promotes independence; adherence to the attendance policy; encourages socialization; advocates for the quality of life of our patients while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards; supports the company’s core values.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:· Responsible for processing incoming fax referrals for the organization
· Follows assigned timeline for contacting potential to schedule appointments
· Responsible for notifying referring doctor office of status within established guidelines
· Accurately schedules new patient (and some established patient) appointments based on referral request and by following established scheduling protocols.
· Maintain and follow HIPAA policies and procedures
· Record daily productivity on assigned log sheets
· Utilize various 3rd party vendors to effectively communicate with patients
· Assist Operations Manger in related projects and assignments as assigned
· Other relevant duties as assigned by the Manager/Director
Education, Prior Work Experience, Special Skill and Knowledge Requirements:· HS diploma or GED Required
· Ability to fluently speak, read and write English
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, handbooks, polices, procedure manuals, and training manuals
· Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with all levels of staff and patients
· Must be able to work independently and have strong attention to detail
· Medical office experience strongly preferred
· Must be at least 18 years of age
