Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and retain a team of professional drivers while ensuring compliance with safety and Hours-of-Service regulations
• Dispatch, direct, and coordinate daily transportation operations to ensure timely route departures and efficient utilization of equipment and personnel
• Analyze and optimize delivery routes to reduce mileage, improve efficiency, and lower operational costs
• Monitor driver performance, productivity, and customer service standards; provide coaching and corrective action as needed
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and all safety procedures
• Maintain vehicle safety and sanitation standards, including DVIR compliance and inspection processes
• Participate in driver meetings and communicate key updates, policies, and expectations
• Collaborate with Transportation Manager and HR on employee relations, coaching, and disciplinary actions
• Support development of drivers in product knowledge, customer service, and delivery excellence
• Assist with coverage of delivery routes when necessary
• Track and report safety metrics, accident-free performance, and operational KPIs
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of Transportation experience within foodservice, distribution, or logistics environments
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
• Proven leadership experience managing drivers or transportation teams
• Ability to coordinate operations, manage multiple priorities, and problem-solve effectively
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid CDL Class A license required

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent supervisory experience
• Experience with routing software (e.g., Roadnet)
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
