Plumbing Apprentice’s Job Description
The Plumbing Apprentice’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting in properly and accurately estimating, installing, replacing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and/or testing the following:
- Water piping systems
- Gas piping systems
- Sanitary sewer piping systems
- Tub/shower/faucet internal mechanisms including cartridges, washers, springs, etc.
- Faucets
- Gas and water valves
- Gas and water supply lines
- Gas risers
- Gas yard lines
- Tub/shower valves
- Tub/shower trim
- Tub faucets
- Sink drain assemblies including disposals
- Tub basket strainers
- Kitchen sinks
- Hose bibbs
- Toilets
- Yard leaks/breaks
- Sanitary sewer yard lines
- Sanitary sewer and potable water slab leaks
- Toilet flanges
- Gas and electric tank water heaters
- Gas and electric tankless water heaters
- Hot water recirculation systems
- PRV & valve boxes
- Boiler drains
- Water yard lines
Plumbing Apprentice Job Requirements
The Plumbing Apprentice should possess the following experience, skills, characteristics, abilities, and licensing:

- Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
